FAQ
What languages are supported?
Currently English and Korean are supported. The OCR engine uses Tesseract.js which runs entirely in your browser.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens in your browser using WebAssembly. Your images never leave your device.
How can I improve OCR accuracy?
Use high-resolution images with clear, well-lit text. Avoid skewed or rotated text, heavy shadows, and low-contrast backgrounds for best results.
Can I extract text from handwritten notes?
OCR works best with printed or typed text. Handwritten text may be partially recognized but accuracy will vary significantly depending on legibility.
Can I extract text from a PDF?
This tool works with image files (JPG, PNG, WebP). To extract text from a PDF, first convert each page to an image using our PDF to Image tool, then run OCR on each image.
